Our Philosophy

At Acushen Clinic, we believe that you can heal your body from within. We encourage your body to accomplish this by bringing it back into balance and alignment in order to initiate self healing. We are committed to the ethical, responsible, and diligent practice of our medical profession and proudly uphold our core values - Compassion, Integrity, and Empowerment.

Acushen Clinic was founded in 2020 and provides integrative medicine services through a combination of modern and holistic healthcare practices to diagnose and treat patients. We offer a variety of healing disciplines  and services such as: Comprehensive Health Analysis, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, In-depth Testing and Lab Work, Health Renewal Supplement Programs, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Guidance, and much more. We use a combination of these therapies to address acute and chronic illnesses such as the common cold, viral infections, seasonal allergies, cough, sciatica, back pain, infertility, pediatric wellness, anxiety and stress, auto-immune disorders, depression, insomnia and sleep troubles, and much more. Acushen Clinic was nominated Top 5 Best Pain Management Clinics in 2021 by the Houston Chronicle. We pride ourselves on our professional expertise, hospitality, nurturing nature, and quality of care, distinguishing us from any other integrative wellness center.

The purpose behind our branding is to have an image and name that enhances and reflects what our practice is all about.

Acushen (/ˈakyo͞oˌSHen/) is a portmanteau of "Acupuncture" and "Shen". In Oriental Medicine, the Shen is interpreted as the “Spirit” or “Mind”. The Shen is responsible for consciousness, cognition, emotional life and our “presence”. The Shen is responsible for things like thinking, planning, and feeling. Within our practice, we see the Shen as an essential part of the human body and believe it is crucial to address both the physical and mental/spiritual aspects of any illness.

The triangular “A” symbol of our logo symbolizes power, harmony, stability, and wisdom.

Our deep blue ocean colors represent a Shen that is formless and shapeless so that it may flow freely, like water.

Our gold accents are a constant reminder of the illumination and magic of having a healthy mind and body.
